Thanksgiving
Monday was Thanksgiving here in Canada and with the cooler weather it was lovely to be able to get together with family and friends to give thanks and share a warm meal.

Is the Canadian Thanksgiving similar to the American one. We don’t have anything like that here, I think if “white” Australia tried it, too many people would get upset. Even our Australia Day is nicknamed Invasion Day.
Originally I believe it’s theme was very similar to the American one and the celebration of a bountiful harvest. But now it’s more of a time to simply be thankful; for family, friends, life, for everything we have in our lives. A wonderful excuse to gather for dinner and spend time with the ones close to you.
